Neon Astra Privacy Policy
Effective September 28, 2026
Neon Astra is an arcade game for iPhone with three games: Orbit Dive, Orbit Switch and Orbit Pin. It has no accounts, and we, the developer, never receive your scores or settings. Neon Astra shows an ad only when you choose to watch one to continue a run. Those ads come from Google, and most of this policy is about them.
What Neon Astra keeps on your iPhone
- Your best score in each game, your settings (sound, music, haptics, language) and which games you've already learned.
- These stay on your iPhone and are never sent to us. Your settings are deleted with the app.
- Your best scores are also kept in your iPhone's secure storage (the Keychain), so they come back if you delete and reinstall Neon Astra. Like other Keychain data, they're included in your iPhone's encrypted backups.
Game Center
- If you're signed in to Game Center, your scores are sent to Apple's Game Center leaderboards. Apple handles them under Apple's privacy policy.
- Neon Astra also reads your own best scores from those leaderboards, so your record comes back on a new iPhone.
- You can sign out of Game Center at any time in iOS Settings › Game Center.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Neon Astra uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) for one thing: after a game over, Watch Ad to Continue lets you watch a short video ad to continue that run. Ads never appear on their own, and you never have to watch one.
- An ad is requested in advance. So that one is ready when you want it, Neon Astra asks Google for an ad when the app starts and when a run begins, even if you never watch it.
-
What Google's SDK collects to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud:
- your IP address, and the approximate location that can be worked out from it;
- information about your device and the app, such as the iPhone model, iOS version, language and app version, and identifiers used for advertising;
- how you interact with ads, such as whether an ad was shown, watched to the end or tapped;
- diagnostic, performance and crash information about the ad SDK.
- No tracking permission. Neon Astra doesn't ask for permission to track you (App Tracking Transparency), so Google doesn't receive your iPhone's advertising identifier (IDFA).
- Your choice in Europe. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Neon Astra shows Google's consent form and asks for your choice before any ad is requested. You can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy Choices.
- Google's policy. How Google uses this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can manage the ads Google shows you in My Ad Center.
- Advertisers. The ads, and any website or app you open from one, are run by the advertiser under their own privacy policy.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. AdMob gives us overall reports, such as how many ads were shown and what they earned, not information about individual players. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. They contain technical information about the crash, nothing about you.
Deleting your data
- Settings › Reset Best Scores erases your best scores, including the copy in the Keychain, and they won't be restored from Game Center afterwards.
- Deleting the app removes your settings. Your best scores stay in the Keychain so a reinstall can bring them back; to erase them too, use Reset Best Scores before deleting the app.
- Game Center scores are managed by Apple. Information held by Google is covered by Google's own privacy tools, linked above.
Children
Neon Astra is a game for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
